Remote Support Questions
Q. Is there anyway for you to work on my computer without me
coming in or you coming out?
A. YES WE CAN!!! A new Remote support feature allows us remote
access to your computer, by installing a simple program on your pc.
Q. Does this program stay on my computer, and give you access
at any time?
A. NO! Security is our main concern. The program will automatically
uninstall after the session terminates.
Q. What does it cost to have this done?
A. Here is the nice part. $35.00\hr, that's $10.00 less an hour if you
have to bring it in.
Q. What if you decide it is hardware or it needs to be brought
in?
A. If we try to fix it online and are unable then you bring in the
pc and we will finish the job and just bill you for the time in the
shop.
Internet Questions
Q. Do you have High Speed internet
available?
A. Yes, we supply the Independence area with a
Wireless or
SDSL connection.
Q. What is the phone number for my dial-up access?
A. The phone number for dial-up and backup broadband is
331-6065
Q. What should I set the incoming and outgoing mail
servers as in outlook express?
A. The Incoming server is pop.comgen.com and the
outgoing server is mail.comgen.com
Q. Can I use webmail to retrieve my email messages from
anywhere if you host my domain.
A. YES! If we host your domain you can use our webmail to
check and send mail
Q. When I travel and connect to the internet, Why can't I
send mail?
A. This is due to relaying. Like most ISP's the one
your using doesn't support it. Just change your outgoing server to
match the ISP or use webmail.
Q. When I dial-up to your internet, I get a connection
speed less then 56k, and I have a 56k modem.
A. The 56k is the best possible connection that modem can
make. However due to many other factors like phone lines, distance
from the server and the congestion of the network, dial-up users
will see speeds usually between 28.8 and 45k.
